Volunteering Opportunities 

Are you looking for a way to pass the time helping out the community, or maybe your looking to give your CV a boost? 

Then volunteering with us may be for you!


If you would like to be more involved in the organisation, becoming a member of ACDI could be for you, more details in the next section.


We have a variety of positions available which may interest you which cover a wide range of activities and responsibilities, such as:

  • Marketing assistant to produce graphics and schedule social media posts, produce and display posters and produce videos
  • Cooks to prepare meals for our Thursday Lunch club and also to provide ready meals for sale through our Harvest Hub
  • Front-of-House taking orders and serving meals at the Lunch Club
  • Kitchen support including washing & drying dishes at the Lunch Club
  • Gardeners to help keep The Knowe looking its best over the Summer
  • Youth workers supporting the running of our weekly groups

Training for the roles will be provided.


For roles that legally require a PVG, volunteers can access free PVGs via Volunteer Scotland Disclosure Services, which will apply for.

Join our Youth team

Our youth project runs twice weekly, with sessions for P3&4 and P5-7. We are looking to continue to build our bank of sessional staff who will support our core team of youth workers to deliver these sessions and more as the service continues to grow.
